The IT Senior Business Systems Analyst is expected to be embedded within the full software development life cycle liaising directly with the business, the developers, operational teams, and the QA department, delivering core analysis and support. They will be responsible for creating and capturing requirements, tracking changes, identifying risks and issues to escalate appropriately, engaging stakeholders and SMEs to solve problems and to help understand project scope, and actively participate in various agile management activities. They will assist with the collection and maintenance of product backlogs and work with business leaders to determine priorities. Other Key responsibilities include:
Ability to play the role of Project Manager, Scrum Master, or team leader when required.
Educate business stakeholders and teams on the need for consistent standards for technology systems and platforms
Nature and Scope
This position is expected to have a strong background in Business Analysis best practices including both traditional and agile requirements gathering and documenting. Ability to collect detailed requirements using use cases and smaller requirements using user stories.
Will contribute to creating and maintaining documentation standards, policies, and templates.
Must have experience working in an agile development environment.
Must have the ability to evaluate current processes and workflows to find opportunities for improvement. Must be willing to engage many stakeholders and broker discussions around optimization and change.
Must be able to create detailed documentation of collected information conforming to industry and Renown team standards. Must be able to work with developers to translate business requirements into technical requirements and into quality assurance test plans.
Must have a solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
Must be able and willing to present results and status updates to senior staff.
Must be willing to actively participate in the quality assurance process (i.e. testing).
Must be willing and able to perform data governance and analysis for requirements gathering and root cause analysis.
Ability to supervise and lead the work of junior level staff.

Requirements – Required and/or Preferred
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's degree required in Information Management, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration or other related disciplines. Relevant years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
5+ years as Business Analyst or equivalent role required. Scrum Master certification is not required, but is a plus.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
