Job Title: Sr. Business Systems Analyst 

Work Hours: 8am-5pm

Explanation for Position: New project for Mark Based Pricing / Pricing Project Redesign requires additional

staffing for project execution.

Details of Position:

Sr BSA in an agile team responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements for a

complex project that will analyze the current business process for pricing/costing of

international air freight shipments. This Sr BSA will analyze the systems involved and

work with the stakeholders to identify the problems and gaps with the current

solution and then develop a new system(s) to replace the current solution. This Sr

BSA will act on behalf of the IS team as a liaison between the Product Owner,

business stakeholders, the offshore development team, and senior management.

This Sr BSA will be responsible to develop User Stories, Features, Acceptance

Criteria, etc. This Sr BSA must be able to perform duties of an agileScrum Master

such as hosting standup meetings, managing backlog grooming, handling backlog

prioritization, removing impediments, capacity planning, and escalating to

management as necessary.

Management Skills:

The Sr BSA for this position must be proficient in the following skills: excellent

communicator (written and verbal), problem-solver, critical thinking, meeting

facilitation, work independently, build relationships, be proactive, meet deadlines,

work with remote team members, recognize dependencies, and remove

impediments. The Sr BSA for this position must be proficient in facilitating work

sessions with key stakeholders, diagramming/documenting process/data flows,

documenting requirements, and obtaining stakeholder buy-in. The Sr BSA for this

position will be required to fully understand the current business process, identify the

problems that need to be solved, and help design a solution. The Sr BSA for this

position must have experience working in an agile team and applying agile

methodology. The Sr BSA must have experience acting as a Scrum Master because

this position is a combination of Scrum Master and PM duties, in additional to typical

BSA duties.
