Position Description

We seek for a Business System Analyst with Agile testing and automation background to join our organization.   This is a rewarding opportunity for the right candidate to make good use of his/her analysis, automation background and coding experience to attain high standards of quality.  As a Business System Analyst you will develop a productive partnership with the product owners, business stakeholders and technical team members. He/she will collaborate with technical and business teams to develop and implement solutions to meet the end users requirements.   Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define and document precise and accurate user acceptance criteria that will be used by developers, automation test frameworks and by product owners to ensure that product owner intent is effectively captured and tested
  • Previous experience in writing scripts in Gherkin and ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development)
  • Interact with stakeholders to gather information regarding structure, policies, and systems needs in order to develop acceptance criteria to drive development 
  • Be an active member of the Scrum Team and work closely with Product Owners to advise developers to deliver technology solutions to meet business needs
  • Develop business cases/stories for prioritization
  • Effectively utilize the CA Agile Central application for all Agile functions including reports, flow dock, Project tasks, User stories, Defect tracking etc.
  • Translate technical information into a non-technical representation
  • Ability to understand document data flow, systems and interdepartmental processes
  • Coordinate and deliver demos of system changes under development, ensuring client satisfaction and signoff
  • Foster and adhere to Agile principles and methods for requirements gathering and testing
  • Provide regular and detail-appropriate reports regarding the current status of projects
  • Participate in retrospective meetings and help write stories to address resolution of production defects
  • Supports documentation within the software development lifecycle
  • Working in a fast paced agile environment
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Prior use of Excel, Word, Project and Visio
  • Support goals assign to the team through quality results and timely deliveries

Required Qualifications:

  • BA in Computer Science
  • 2+ years of Agile, automation and ATDD experience
  • 2+ years of coding experience: Java, VB, Python, C#, Ruby, SQL/TSQL coding languages
  • 2+ years of experience with automation frameworks and tools: Cucumber, NGEN, Selenium, JBox, GitHub
  • 4+ years training and mentoring others
