Job Description

Our Business Segment Lending - SBA Lead must have a customer focused mindset with a passion for growth through SBA lending, with a particular focus on SBA 7(a) and 504 loans. The Business Segment SBA Lending Lead will oversee strategic product management for the SBA product line focused on accelerating business lending growth through SBA while staying one step ahead of evolving economic, technological, and customer needs. SBA LENDING PROFITABILITY

  • Helps drive lending profitability and performance across business lending products with a particular focus on SBA 7(a) and 504 loans., managing short- and long-term outcomes of SBA portfolio including connection to product roadmap, OKRs, and strategic investments. Influences pricing decisions, product offerings, and end-to-end product management.


SBA LENDING STRATEGY, VISION, AND PLANNING

  • Pulls from market and competitive SBA insights, customer needs, and internal business priorities to help create SBA lending vision (target customer segments, markets, channels, go to market approach, and value propositions).
  • Aligns SBA strategy with business lending strategic vision by working with cross-functional stakeholders to help shape the business lending product roadmap, investment areas and success measures.


SBA LENDING DEVELOPMENT

  • Drives SBA lending developments by working with cross-functional stakeholders to enable faster speed to market and maximize return on spend for the SBA product roadmap (e.g., marketing, promotions/customer offers, etc).
  • Coordinates resources across expanding SBA products and reimagining existing products.


CHANNEL ALIGNMENT AND MANAGEMENT

  • Manages across channels to help define and deliver SBA performance goals.
  • Gathers competitive, customer, market, and internal business priorities to continually optimize SBA strategy as a leading driver of business lending growth.


CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH, INSIGHT AND EXECUTION

  • Identifies initial and ongoing SBA lending strategy by communicating and incorporating customer/user needs, competitive landscape, business objectives, the bank's strategic advantage and economic environment to enhance new or existing business lending products.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of SBA lending products and policies through internal/external research (e.g., creation of personas, story maps, pricing chartering/mapping experience).


GO TO MARKET AND SALES ALL CHANNELS

  • Engages with enabling functions (e.g., sales, marketing, training, operations, go to market, treasury, etc.) to position, promote and maintain SBA lending strategy needed to achieve business lending goals


PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT AND OPTIMIZATION

  • Develops, analyses, monitors, and reports on SBA lending performance metrics from internal and external sources to identify key trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. Uses SBA lending performance metrics to drive towards progress on identified Business Lending strategies and initiatives.
  • Influences and drives alignment across functions, channels, and lines of business to set SBA lending strategy, manage performance, and optimize execution.


MARKETING AND ANALYTICS

  • In collaboration with marketing, helps define and influence multi-channel SBA lending marketing strategy, budget, and key performance indicators to drive overall business lending growth.


Preferred Skills/Experience

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- Typically five to seven years of relevant experience

- Advanced product management or similar experience

- Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $125,715.00 - $147,900.00 - $162,690.00.
