We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to join our team. This position will oversee the business analysis and testing of Web/mobile applications and services.
The best qualified candidates will have at least five years of real world BA and or QA experience. Experience with testing Web/Mobile applications and Internet technology, strong communication and writing skills are a must. A strong work ethic, a great attitude, and dedication to success are expected.
  The Business and Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the development life cycle with planning, analysis, testing (manual/automation) and product documentation of simple to complex applications. The BA/QA Analyst works collaboratively within the application development department and business units to write stories, develop use cases and acceptance tests, assess the quality of releasable software and create automated scripts that, when executed, quickly assess the quality of the software.  Quality Assurance Analysts at NIC are responsible for creating a clear audit trail on all software changes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, translate, simplify, verify, manage and communicate requirements, system and functional
  • Constructs use cases and scenarios with acceptance criteria for the requirements
  • Responsible for QA, UAT testing
  • Identifies and assists in resolving issues, questions, and scope/requirements gaps quickly and effectively enables delivery and support of applications
  • Isolates, replicates, and reports defects and verifies defect fixes
  • Prepare and execute test plans and test cases/scripts, track test data, identify expected results
  • Perform functional, integration and regression testing
  • Prepares software release notes for new features, bug fixes and enhancements; and updates product user manuals and tutorials accordingly
  • Assists in preparing Product materials for training
  • Collaborates with application development teams to create and execute load/performance tests
  • Develop, document and maintain testing strategies including manual and automation plans, frameworks, scripts and metrics for functional, regression, and integration tests
  • Provide product support to NIC portals and partners
  • Collaborate with all organization disciplines to identify corrective action and process improvement plans
  • Assists in the development of software quality assurance standards and process improvement initiatives


  • At least 5 years of experience business analysis, testing, automation, or coding
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
  • Ability to analyze business processes and develop a practical, usable and useful system to support them
  • Ability to develop and execute automated and manual test cases for Mobile, Web based applications
  • Proven experience creating end-to-end test plans; executes the plan and manages all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met, and that the solution works as expected
  • Experience developing and maintaining formal test Documentation and Reports
  • Experience with test automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance and business analysis, best practices and methodologies
  • Proven experienceworking with development teams, clients and other disciplines through direct and written communication
  • Bachelordegree, or equivalent, in area of specialty
  • In depth understanding of various software development life cycles (e.g. Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive
