Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Process Improvement, the incumbent will provide project management expertise for multiple projects, initiatives and programs supporting the office of the CFO and Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration (DFA), as well as work supporting other key areas such as the Chancellor’s Executive Policy Group (CEPG), the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) and Campus Recovery Implementation Team (CRIT). These project will range from moderate to high complexity and may be DFA-specific or have campus-wide impact. In addition, the incumbent will engage in development of business cases, perform various analyses and solution development and will provide organizational change management support.
9-10 years Project Management experience with a 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Very strong communicator both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with various levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.
Ability to foster good relationships with business units. Listens and understands client needs and concerns.
Demonstrated history for tracking and driving forward all open and unresolved action items, risks and issues.
Demonstrated skills for working collaboratively with project team members on tasks behind schedule and issues to make course corrections to keep tasks on schedule and maintain the critical path. Escalates project issues and risks as necessary to ensure timely completion of tasks.
MBA or Master’s degree credentials and experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Must have a valid California driver’s license and participate in the DMV Pull Program.
