Title: Principal AEM CMS Business Consultant

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Pleasanton, CA 


Responsibilities and Qualifications 

1) Accountable for creation and delivery of authoring requirements (i.e. functional specs) during the website design process 

2) Accountable for writing standards and guidelines for CMS and digital content 

3) Ensures consistent approaches and designs are used across the entire CMS platform for authoring, workflows and organization of content 

4) Collaborate with APO?s and designers to write authoring requirements (acceptance criteria) for user stories and accept those user stories when development is complete 

5) Evaluate existing AEM component library and CMS capabilities and recommend improvements to authoring experience 

6) Drive creation of standards for authoring including: authoring dialogues, component names, component groups, template names, workflows, content modeling and access control lists for developers and testers to use during development 

7) Accountable for the delivery of authoring training guides for all CMS features 

8) Create Training Guides/Material for completed CMS capabilities 

9) Train authors on completed components and develop training materials and documentation for continued support 

10) Train and educate other business partners?APO?s, PdM''s?on AEM architecture and process 

11) Collaborate with Agiledevelopers to arrange knowledge transfer sessions for completed AEM components and CMS capabilities 

12) Perform acceptance testing on components, CMS capabilities and overall authoring experience 

13) Identify bugs or issues in components, CMS capabilities and overall authoring experience, communicate to development teams and work to achieve resolution 

14) Promote and educate enterprise (especially marketing departments) on AEM capabilities, principles and best practices in digitalpublishing 

15) Create and design content models, content types and relationships between content and metadata/taxonomy 

16) Develop detailed content migration plans from TeamSite to AEM 

17) Create content management strategies and governance models for content process (including distributed publishing) 

18) Develop and maintain relationships with IT and Business stakeholders. 

19) Collaborate with IT and PMO to develop a repeatable release process that is efficient, allows for quick time to market and maintains a stable reliable CMS platform for authors 

20) Influence IT and Business stakeholders to support best practices for CMS and content authoring standards 

21) Collaborate with Editorial team to ensure editorial docs match AEM template and component designs 


?5+ years business consulting experience with AEM 

o or 3years business consulting experience with Adobe certification 

o or 3years business consulting experience with AEM and an additional 3years business consulting experience with TeamSite 

?10+ years experience gathering and writing business requirements for Content Management Systems 

? Development experience with AEM a plus 

?5+ years experience with Agile development 

?Experience with production support of content and content management systems 

?Experience with content entry in AEM 

?Experience working in matrix organization 

?Experience with Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence and HipChat) 

?Experience with a complex software release process and environment 

?Experience working in organizations that employ a distributed publishing model 

? OpenText TeamSite experience a nice to have 

? Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS a plus
