Overview

Tantus Technologies, Inc. is seeking a qualified Business Process Analyst to support a federal customer. Qualified candidates must have experience with software development or system integration projects. The Business Process Analyst will conduct a business process assessment of system requirements and develop sub features and user stories for development. Requirements used for the creation of the sub features and user stories must be traceable. They will be involved in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from a diverse and divergent stakeholder pool, identifying and communicating gaps between business requirements and technical capabilities, analyzing and mapping processes (current state/future state) against viable technical solutions. They will interface with developers and testers in explaining their sub features and it user stories as it moves into development.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a primary resource for requirements gathering, validating, analyzing and documenting
  • Review the baselined requirements to develop sub features and user stories
  • Develop, groom, and finalize sub features and user stories
  • Conduct grooming sessions with stakeholders
  • Identify gaps and engage stakeholders to resolve or address gaps
  • Provide expertise in business process and system analysis and translate business process needs into technical requirements
  • Interface directly with business owners to document all functional and technical sub features
  • Prepare briefing documents and participate in client reviews and discussions
  • Perform quality reviews of work products
  • Use Team Foundation Server (TFS) to track and manage sub features
  • Interface with the development and testing teams as the sub feature expert

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • U.S citizenship required
  • Professional experience in business process analysis preferably in grants management, portfolio/project management, budget management, and data analysis
  • Skills to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in feature, sub-feature and user story development
  • Preferred experience in MS Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Experience supporting SDLC processes/phases
  • Expertise in requirements management processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance and prioritize competing requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required
