Business Process Analyst 3 ( Functional Business Analyst Human Capital Management )
The Functional Business Analyst is a member of the WorkLion Management Office (WMO), responsible for ongoing support and development of the Workday Human Capital Management and Payroll system including business process analysis, functional design, testing, training, communication, documentation, implementation and support. The successful candidate will serve as the WMO partner supporting the stakeholders in the Human Capital Management (HCM) functional area. As a consultative partner, the functional business analyst will work with stakeholder offices to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and assist with the translation into technical requirements, resulting in customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies. The Functional business analyst will utilize the Workday technology to assist in the rapid and thorough resolution of production issues to resolve tickets. Additionally, they will serve as the Workday expert to support business units, by designing and maintaining system configurations; creating and executing detailed test plans and validating Business Process changes in Workday. This individual will document business requirement changes and create detailed functional requirements for changes to configuration, integrations and reports; they will support planning and analysis for Workday version updates, execute testing, update training materials, support communication. The Functional business analyst will utilize data to support business initiatives and decisions through compiling data, generating reports and formulating and defining system scope and objectives. The successful candidate will lead small scale or sub-functional teams for planning and implementing Workday cloud enhancements and solution expansions; new enterprise systems support and business process improvement projects; and mapping current and future business processes. The preferred candidate will have human resources experience in one or more of the following areas: talent, recruiting, or organizational structure. In addition, in-depth knowledge of the Human Capital Management (HCM) area of the Workday system is desired. Key competencies for success in this position include the ability to thrive in a team-based environment, and understand the interdependencies for all Workday functional areas. Additionally, understanding and performing elements of standard project management methodology is strongly desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR, payroll, IT and other stakeholder groups are desired. The ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess business needs as well as communicate technology concepts effectively with technically proficient and non-technically proficient individuals is also preferred.
