-Performs analysis related to the item, vendor & customer transactional data & master files -Provides analysis or system enhancements that allows data integrity associates to perform their duties more efficiently & with improved accuracy -Works on special projects related to transactional data & master file integrity or process improvement as identified by management -Collaborates with technology/infrastructure staff to identify data relationships & functional requirements, determines who requires access to data & may serve as a liaison with IT to grant access to users for tables, reports needed for data analysis -Evaluates & creates reporting documentation to assist data management analysts -May assist in reviewing, analyzing, updating & maintaining database support tools, database tables & dictionaries, recovery & backup procedures -Discusses data analysis results with clients -May manage data processes, monitor the relationships between data inputs & outputs in applications, & maintain & analyze the organization's data across multiple platforms & computing environments
5+ years' experience in data analysis
Additional Knowledge & Skills
-Thorough knowledge of company functions & the effects of data changes on those departments -Advanced knowledge/proficiency in research & communication skills & established skills in analytical tools such as MS Excel & MS Access -Working knowledge of business intelligence applications (e.g., Business Objects) & SQL -Advanced understanding of layout & structure of company data stores
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
