Job Summary:

The Product Strategy & Operations team is responsible for enabling our product teams to achieve high performance and bring product strategies to life by providing product insights at the right time, creating clear growth strategies tied to long range plans and building best in class processes.This role will drive measurable operating efficiencies within the brand with a focus on implementing the Calendar Center of Excellence.The manager will drive time management strategy, develop and implement a master brand calendar, and maintain calendar management best practices.This role will also lead broader operating model process improvement needs.

Key Responsibilities:

CalendarDevelop time management strategy to enable enhanced productivity for product teams and support key decision making for the Leadership team

  • Lead ongoing centralized calendar management through active development and management of a calendar project plan
  • Integrate critical timing from key partners and functions into the Product to Market calendar to deliver a master brand calendar view for leaders and teams to use as the Source of Truth
  • Determine impact and provide solutions to Executive leaders and teams to address calendar conflicts
  • Partner with Business Operations Coordinator and administrative assistants to manage leader and function specific calendar conflict resolution
  • Develop and rollout calendar operations processes and best methods
  • Create and communicate published calendars to leaders and teams and keep updated as changes arise
  • Own management of calendar invites and meeting logistics in partnership with the Coordinator and administrative assistants for specific brand and cross-functional product meetings

Business Process

  • Address operational inefficiencies across functions
    • Identify inefficiencies in current operations working with leaders to prioritize areas of opportunity
    • Engage with working teams to develop and rollout new ways of working with limited disruption
    • Continually measure impact of process improvements on productivity
  • Support business process evolution as operating model opportunities arise
  • Manage structure (e.g., inputs, outputs, required attendees, etc.) of milestone meetings with a focus on key brand priorities
  • Maintain meeting tools to support streamlined, efficient working across teams

Leadership 

  • Lead the calendar management team and supervision of the Business Operations Coordinator role 
  • Effectively manage and support the career development process of direct reports to drive engagement and future talent development
  • Challenge business partners when appropriate to prevent re-work, redundancies, and inefficiency
  • Foster open communication and a team environment with all business partners
  • Hold self and others accountable for work commitments and outcomes

REPORTING/ WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to the Director Strategy & Product Operations.Close working relationships with Design, Merchandising, Marketing, IM, Production, Functional Operations Leads and Leadership Team.

Experience

  • Consulting Experience preferred
  • BA/BS degree required
  • 5-7 years of work experience, preferably within retail industry (big picture retail understanding)
  • Interest/knowledge of retail industry
