Seeking to fill an analyst level position that focuses on statistical modeling, data integrity, reporting, analysis and ad hoc requests with a concentration on model development, model documentation, and model monitoring, for internally developed risk models that monitor credit quality, project defaults, produce forecasts and establish allowance or reserves.

  1. Develop, maintain and monitor credit risk models

- Internally developed models that are specific to US Bank

  1. Produce reports/analysis

- Identify risks and opportunities

- Monitor credit quality & trends

- Compare delinquency performance to industry

  1.  Data analysis

- Continue to evolve databases used with Credit Risk Analysis

- Identify new/alternative data sources

- Review and verify data quality to ensure accurate and complete

  1. Delinquency performance reporting and analysis

- New originations & active loans on the books

- Delinquency performance and drivers (characteristics) of losses

  1. Produce allowance and roll rate forecasts

- Delinquencies, repurchases, losses, etc.

- Incorporate various macro-economic conditions (HPI, unemployment) to produce a range of probabilities

- Stress testing - monthly/quarterly

  1. Ad hoc requests - reports/analysis

- Support Credit Risk Management

- Support CBSS and other business partners

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in project management activities
  • Four or more years of managerial experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Strong technical skills including Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, etc.)

- Statistical education or experience

- Mortgage experience preferred and/or credit risk

- Ability to access and work with databases - SAS experience required

- Experience developing statistical models based in SAS including monitoring model performance and ensuring methodology is statistically significant

- Experience working with Model Validation and/or auditors

- Analytical and reporting skills including the ability to access large volumes of data and summarize the data to validate/verify it is accurate and tell the story

- Able to produce and update/maintain process documents - desktop procedures and functionality of tasks

- Ability to solve problems and work with little supervision
