Overview is an entrepreneurial technology business focused on compliance activities around cybersecurity.   The business manager directs and coordinates activities of the business organization and aids in formulating and administering organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.


• Manages the business for both growth and profit
• Leads marketing and sales staff
• Participates in key business development activities
• Oversees operational staff (sales through delivery)
• Balances delivery resources to sales activity
• Drives operational improvement
• Assists with potential product line extensions
• Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development with Harris Beach Human Resources
• Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships
• Participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives
• Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives
• Confers with the chief operating officer and other personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions
• Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development
• Oversees departments to review production and operating reports and resolve operational, software and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth objectives
• Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Reviews and supports engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth
• Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain outsourcing requirements to develop new markets
• Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financialreporting and submittal for capital expenditures

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience. Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of demonstrated progressive growth; solid communication skills for all constituent groups (customers, employees, vendors, owners); and a strong sense of technology and its use in compliance activities.
• This person must possess good reasoning and problem solving skills
• Must have experience with technology startups
• Must possess strong presentation and communication skills in order to interact effectively with both internal and external clients both verbally and in person
• Experience working in a team environment
• Well-organized, attentive to detail, and willing to take ownership of client requests; must have a strong client-service orientation
• Military experience a plus
