Business Manager: Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) at AllianceBernstein Holding LP in New York, NY

The MAS Business Manager plays a central role in the team working closely with the COO, CIO, PMs, team members and AB stakeholders to support the business. The scope of the role will cut across many business functions including FP&A, business and investment analysis, sales / client revenue modeling, annual planning, talent acquisition and engagement, project management and other strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Financial planning and investment performance

• Conduct analysis of financials to improve visibility for decision making by the MAS management team
• Extend financials to better understand product-by-product profitability
• Perform adhoc analysis to determine ROI for various growth or expense management initiatives
• Improve our investment performance analysis capabilities using BI tools and dashboards
• Monitor and report on performance vs. annual scorecard
• Drive analysis of incremental business opportunities including new products, clients, business lines and acquisitions including partnering with other parts of AB, as needed
• Talent management

• Partner with HR around the recruiting process including identifying new sources for talent
• Manage the offer to onboarding process
• Assist management team in compensation process
• Develop and execute on learning and development team needs
• Work with HR to manage and drive mid year and annual performance review processes
• Lead and/or participate as MAS representative in AB cross SBU initiatives
• Lead strategic initiatives on an ad hoc basis

Qualifications:

• 6-10+ years of relevant experience working at a hedge fund or asset manager in business management; FP&A at a leading financial services firm; or at an investment bank or sell side firm covering asset managers
• Understanding of asset management, alternatives and hedge fund industries
• Solid Excel modeling capability (other analytical tools a plus)
• Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence tool
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to foster effective business relationships while working across diverse teams
• Knowledge of Python, SQL or other languages a plus

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university in Finance, Business, Economics or a STEM field.
• MBA a plus.
