Business Managers are responsible for owning the primary relationship with our customers. This critical role will ensure that the customer is satisfied with company products and services, that implementation schedules are on target, and that budgets are met according to contractual agreements. Business Managers work with clients to cultivate future project initiatives utilizing company products and professional services. This position will consult with Program Managers on project status to help ensure timely deliverables, and support the strategic pursuit of new business with their customer.
Business Manager IV Responsibilities
Drive an account plan to grow business aligned with our strategy. This includes:
· Quarterly account plan reviews with each relevant Technical Work Center (TWC) to ensure the cross-functional team understands our strategic direction and champion the needs of your customer
· Quarterly account plan workshops with Business Development to align resources to drive growth
Own customer communication on strategic initiatives, new capabilities and critical business decisions
Own and coordinate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with customers to discuss their business and how Tektronix can support them
Quickly address and tend to customer requests for on-going business. ie. Delivery, Returns, Schedule, Contract, etc.
Understand customer organizations by department, function, authority. strategy, and adjacent programs.
Develop deep working knowledge of the customer's market dynamics, competitors, and internal initiatives
Forecast future and present business by clearly understanding how customers make decisions and how they procure our services
Coordinate with internal disciplines to develop and produce quotations
Lead Bid/No Bid discussions on new business opportunities. Determine competition and ensure market analysis is complete, identify future revenue, help identify major risks, and understand capital investment
Review and draft offer letters to meet Request for Quote (RFQ) requirements
Lead Proposal Review discussion with management. Discuss why price point was selected and highlight business case; capital investment, return on investment, long term profitability that aligns with Tektronix targets. If target is not able to be achieved, explain why business decision around less makes sense for organization
Lead process improvement opportunities internally
Develop deep customer relationship and be internal representative of customer's voice.

Exceptional computer skills in Oracle, Microsoft Windows, Excel (query), Power Point and Word.
Ability to travel 10% of the time to customers and prospect locations when necessary.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Finance.
Technical program experience in Mil/Gov or Aerospace markets (more than 10 years preferred)
Strong understanding of technical product requirements and specifications.
Effective influence and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
· Master's degree in a technical or business field is preferred.
· Exposure to Department of Defense pricing and contract experience desired.
· Existing Mil/Gov Prime relationships
· Experience in a technical and manufacturing environment in the aerospace/defense industry preferred.
