Tacoma Venues & Events is responsible for sports and entertainment venues within the City of Tacoma (including the Tacoma Dome, Greater Tacoma Convention Center, historic theaters, and Cheney Stadium), the Office of Arts and Cultural Vitality, and the Special Events program.
TVE is seeking a Business Manager to lead the Business Services Division. The successful candidate will plan and manage all aspects of financial and accounting activities for TVE including purchasing, procurement, accounts payable, billing, payroll and collections; organize and control a variety of technical accounting related duties including event settlement; develop and implement TVE performance goals and priorities related to financial management and budget; oversight of third party vendor contracts including box office; auditing, budget preparation and monitoring; preparation and analysis of financialreports and projections; supervision of division staff of five. Bachelors' degree in Accounting, finance, or related field with five to seven years of increasingly responsibleexperience in financial management and accounting (preferably in the venue management industry). Experience in preparation and management of the operation's budget and five years' management and/or supervisory experience. CPA or CMA preferred.
