Manages a team of analysts and/or developers who facilitate business intelligence processes and procedures development and implementation. Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problems. Ensures that the use of business intel intelligence applications enhances clinical & business decision making capabilities. Typically reports to a head of a unit or department. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
A Bachelors degree required. Masters degree strongly preferred.
Requires a thorough knowledge of project management, information management, health care and hospital business operations. Requires knowledge and understanding of the interrelationship of business process and Information Systems applications. Requires a thorough knowledge
of data warehouse and data management principles and processes and database development. Understands the range of options and best practices for common Business intelligence design techniques. Expert proficiency with business intelligence techniques & tools for the acquisition
and transformation of raw data into meaningful and useful information for business and analysis purposes. Knowledge of relational databases and EMR data structure. Advancedability to problem-solve creatively and analyze processes and systems. Significant experience with data
quality, data profiling, metadata management and reporting. Knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Strong proficiency in SQL programming, query writing, query performance tuning, and database technologies. Advancedknowledge in medical
terminology and clinical informatics. Ability to distill and articulate technical and organizational approach to clinical data needs

Required Licensure Certification:
EDW internal certification required within 6 months. A certification such as Certified Analytics Professional, project management, or a certification in a data analytic tool such as Tableau Software, or Epic required such as Epic Caboodle or Clarity Certification.
A minimum of 5 years of experience supervising financial/ health care/educational/clinical data management with experience in program management, regulatory environments, data transformation, developing data analysis, systems design and reporting to technical and non-
technical audiences. Requires demonstrated experience in project management or
management as acquired during 3 years of progressive experience. Experience withBusiness intelligence development tools such as tableau and SAS and programming tools such as R, Python, and
