Kforce has a client in search of a Business Intelligence Engineer in Madison, WI. Summary: The primary objective for this role is to strategically design and implement BI/TM1 solutions to meet business needs through the acquisition and integration of data from various sources. The Business Intelligence Engineer is also responsible for ensuring high levels of data availability through support functions and adhering to service level agreements. Essential Functions:

  • Serves as the primary technical resource for the BI/TM1 community and environment by understanding data integration points and use of data across the enterprise
  • Functions as a key resource within IT for ensuring data integration, data quality, and data governance adherence
  • Serves as data architect, data modeler, and database administrator for database instances to ensure that integrity of data warehouse is sustained
  • Administering database and application servers


  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related experience
  • CBIP (Certified Business Intelligence Professional) - desired
  • MSCE Business Intelligence - desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in business intelligence or application development environment
  • Experience with data warehouse design, architecture, and concepts
  • Full project management and development life cycle experience
  • Experience with database architecture, design and data modeling
  • Experience with data flow and lineage charting techniques
  • Expertise and experience in BI and DW space
  • Demonstrated ability with NT, UNIX, and AIX operating systems
  • Solid understanding of building stored procedures
  • Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and best practices
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Big Data ecosystems, concepts, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
  • Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build BI solutions according to specifications
