Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop reporting solutions and visualizations for data stored in data warehouses and other relational or nosql data stores.
  • Write complex T-SQL queries.
  • Tune T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Work with internal business partners to gather requirements and define scope of projects.
  • Communicate directly with other data warehouse team members including business analysts, data modelers, business users, quality assurance engineers, and developers to confirm requirements, brainstorm solutions, and clarify business rules.
  • Take ownership of assigned project issues and coordinate through to resolution.
  • Effectively document solutions.
  • Assist and train business users in creating ad hoc reports and visualizations.
  • Assist with data discovery for enriching reports.
  • Develop ad hoc reports.
  • Assist with designing data stores.
  • Develop ETL as necessary using SSIS or PowerShell scripts.
  • Design and Develop SSAS cubes.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft certification highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years software development experiencerequired.
  • Knowledge of casino operations preferred.
  • SQL Server 2008 and later versions.
  • Experience developing SQL server objects e.g., tables, views, stored procedures, UDFs.
  • Experience with SQL Server SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and Jet Reports.
  • Visualization Tools – Power BI, Tableau report development.
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Strong T-SQL skills
  • Advanced study/knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies.
  • Experience with predictive analytics and applying regression algorithms preferred.
  • Big data / Hadoop experience desirable.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for data discovery, data quality and data performance.
  • Strong interest and aptitude in learning new, cutting-edge technologies.
  • C# development skills desirable.
