Job title: BI Data Analyst

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: 12+ months

The BI Data Analyst, Reporting and Analytics will manage the internal customer relationship with the specific business group as part of the front-end delivery team to deliver best-in-class reporting and analytics solutions. The position requires excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. 

Primary Responsibilities:

? High Level Duties

o Requirements gathering with business

o Documenting the requirements (CPs and FRs)

o Develop Wireframes and/or POCs for reports 

o Gap Analysis

o Facilitation of User Acceptance Testing

o Following up with vendors on development activity/timelines

o Ad-hoc work

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

? Subject Matter Expertise (50%)

o Serve as a subject matter expert on client's reporting & analytics for customer facing business functions 

o Leverages leading-practice reporting and analytical tools to solve business problems

o Leverages significant knowledge of client business and industry trends with appliedreporting and analytics to propose strategic solutions to client's business needs

o Performs proof of concept development of reporting and analytics solutions 

o Be a thought leader in the organization on customer intelligence, working with teams to better leverage data to gain business insights that influence business strategies

?Project Management (30%)

o Support strategic direction and vision for the customer data & reporting strategy

o Oversees the development of all reporting (dashboards, views), from discovery through implementation, and ensures it is in alignment with BI data & reporting governance practices. 

o Work with business and business analysts to identify critical business processes impacted by the project and ensure the project manages to the success of those processes 

o Organize and facilitate meetings with business units and project team to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, and communicate project status 

o Escalate project risks/issues as appropriate to Manager

? Supervision / Management (20%):

o Overseeing the day-to-day activities of external vendors and consultants.

o Co-manage the performance and provide reviews for contingents and contractors in alignment with HR performance review guidelines and overall company vendors management policies

Requirements: 

? 5+ years of professional experience

?Bachelor''s degree

? Microsoft Office Suite, MS Visio, MS Project

? Ability to own small projects with little oversite

? Prior banking, call center, and Business Intelligence experiencepreferred

?Experience working with enterprise reporting and dashboards

?Experience working with advanced SQL

? Prior DBA and/or BI development experience is preferred

? 3+ years financial services industry experience with focus on Customer Servicing and/or Marketing

? 3+ yeas reporting, analytics, or business intelligence experience

? Working knowledge of Business Intelligence Systems & Tools (Netezza, OBIEE, Watson Explorer, etc?) 

? Working knowledge of SQL, Ruby on Rails and Java Programming Languages

? Working understanding of different data, reporting and analytics tools and how they are leveraged within an organization (SAS, Tableau, etc)

? Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

? Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal relations skills required 

? Ability to build trust and relationships with data users and internal work groups 

? Strong analytical and customer service skills 

? Able to work with multiple support and project teams while keeping a focus on the main project or other projects that have broad implications for the business unit and BI teams 

?Experience with project management tools and methodologies required 

? Strong attention to detail and strong organization skills 

? Ability to work through ambiguity and manage to project deadlines
