We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join us in our headquarters in Fremont, CA. The Business Intelligence Analyst’s objective is helping the implementation of Reporting / Data warehousing projects by determining the detailed requirements of these projects and clearly communicating them to technical stakeholders. The analyst bridges the gap between IT and the business and focuses on one or more area of understanding for relevant business processes, system behaviors, and quality management of data sources within Tailored Brands. The BA also manages a series of documentation relevant to the data warehouse and Reporting KPI
The BI Analyst will spend most of their time performing “Functional Decomposition” which involves a top-down approach of starting with high-level business objectives and progressively decomposing those high-level business objectives into lower-level requirements that are needed to fulfill those objectives.
•Translate business requirements into detailed data requirements documentation.
•Define required business processes for data collection and quality management.
•Validate the business requirement with availability of data by working with different teams.
•Create and maintain documentation for data warehouse /reporting.
•Partner with subject matter experts across business, operations and IT to define requirements
•Regularly communicate progress, key results and KPIs to internal/ business stakeholders
•Coordinate with business and management teams to establish data needs for given project
•Performing user acceptance testing on reporting / data warehouse products
•Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
•Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
•Managing competing resources and priorities.
•Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications•A minimum of 7-10 yrs experience in business analysis or a related field.•Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.•The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.•Advanced technical skills in SQL and databases ( Oracle/Sql server /Teradata /Snowflake)•Experience working with Reporting tool like MicroStrategy / Tableau •Excellent documentation skills.•Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.•Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.•Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.•A track record of following through on commitments.•Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.•Travel is required to work with teams in Fremont / Houston
Physical Requirements:•Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment•Ability to work at least 40 hours per week from the Company’s Fremont, CA corporate office with flexibility based on project needs
