The Business Intelligence Analyst serves as a strategic analyst for marketing efforts relative to lead generation and conversion throughout the marketing funnel. This individual will analyze data and trends in order to present actionable information and insights to help inform business and media decisions. The analyst will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and Design. This will be a highly visible role that will work directly with marketing and business executives across the organization.

Media Reporting Development

  • Create customized reports (using Tableau or similar software), connecting several media, marketing and business data sources together to create a single view of the marketing funnel and key conversion points throughout
  • Develop reporting plans, dashboards and recommendations for clients' marketing data ecosystems
  • Conceptually design the data solution necessary for reporting, and work with cross-functional teams on implementation
  • Lead the presentation of reports developed for internal clients, as well as marketing teams
  • Help clients identify what metrics are critical to understand key conversion points in the marketing funnel
  • Troubleshoot, QA and test reports to ensure accuracy of data
  • All other duties as assigned

Web Analytics Management

  • Provide creative recommendations about how to capture interesting data using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Audit and measure website performance using the Google Analytics user interface
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Fundamental knowledge of databases, SQL and data hierarchies
  • Detailed experience with integrated media, marketing and CRM disciplines/systems (including online advertising, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, offline marketing, ) and how to measure/analyze performance of those disciplines
  • Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to align data visualizations with the needs of your audience
  • Methodical, organized, project management and triage skills with the ability to stay calm under tight deadlines or changing client needs, but still achieve the client’s objective
  • Ability to troubleshoot abstract problems, and think outside the box to find efficient resolutions
  • Basic knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics

Required Experience

  • BS or BA in media planning, business, marketing, statistics, communications, computer science, or applicable experience
  • 5-8 years’ experience building media, financial, operational or marketing performance reporting, or equivalent school project experience
  • 5-8 years’ experience with a BI tool such as Tableau Software, Google Data Studio, Microsoft BI or highly advanced Excel experience
