The Business Engagement Partner is responsible for the development of IT product definition and solution plans to optimize the company’s products and services portfolio for Infrastructure, Engineering and Operations. This role drives execution of all IT priorities defined by business for the portfolio including lights on and investment related efforts. This role will require someone with executive presence as the candidate will service as IT liaison for SVPs and above and should become their single points of contact for anything and everything IT related. Some of the areas these roles will cover will include DC Operations, Financial Management, Cloud Platform, DBA, Data & Analytics Platform, Engineering, and End User Computing.
A successful candidate will have the perfect blend of business/financial acumen along with industry trends knowledge to deliver innovative technological solutions for Infrastructure, Engineering and Operations.
Applies broad knowledge of company’s product/service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology, and emerging product/service opportunities.
Serve as a key advisor to senior leaders and partner with them to evaluate key market statistics and customer requirements to define product strategies and identify product opportunities to expand market share.
Leads business case for optimization of existing products/solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products.
Understands and optimizes the total cost of ownership of IT services within business segment in alignment with the solutions teams
Maintains IT demand & portfolio and leads trade-offs discussions via prioritization efforts keeping both business demands and IT constraints in mind
Lead development of key metrics and KPIs to assess portfolio and operations health
Collaborates with and oversees other senior managers and manager responsible for defining product and service requirements, product specifications, and development roadmaps to ensure alignment with portfolio and corporate strategy priorities
Typically requires 13+ years relevant experience with 8+ years, of direct work-related experience. Less years required if has relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualification
10+ years of experience in DC Operations, Financial Management, Cloud Platform, DBA, Data & Analytics Platform, Engineering, or End User Computing
Leadership experience with proven ability to collaborate and influence decisions at all levels of the organization
Domain expert in the IT area, with deep knowledge of technology solutions
Strong business analytical skills with the ability to turn business needs into delivered solutions
Strong project and portfolio management experience
Broad IT knowledge and generalist
Experience using data and market insights to guide strategic business decisions
Possess Financial/Business Acumen
Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating across the enterprise
Experience as a strategic partner with the business
Clinical, operational, and/or financial analytics experience strongly preferred
Ability to think big picture and connect market trends to shape internal strategies proactively
Ability to effectively communicate with, and influence, people on all levels
Open minded for effective collaboration with technical and business teams
Strategic thinking skills – competency to connect business problems to technology solutions
Enterprise Orientation/Global Mindset
Master’s in related field or MBA strongly preferred
Agile/SAFe certification preferred
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
