Position Description:
Position Summary: The Business Development Manager will be a member of Reinhart’s Sales Department.  The Business Development Manager will lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business consisting of single and/or multi-unit operations and develop and maintain effective key relationships.  This position will also ensure business growth through direction and managing business development activities, such as industry events, and to ensure they are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.
Required Skills and Experience:

College degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of successful sales experience
Possesses demonstrated ability to work independently against a variety of objectives using account management skills to meet and exceed internal/external customer expectations
Ability to view problems, issues and needs from a customer’s perspective and incorporate creative problem solving techniques to identify appropriate solutions.
Demonstrate ability for continuous learning in a highly competitive, fast changing market place.
Must possess and understanding of food service distribution economics with an emphasis on pricing strategy and profit analysis.
Must possess superior presentation skills to small and large groups as well as communication skills.
Must have experience with software programs such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Word.
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:

Foodservice distribution experience.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Develop goals and obtain new business.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers.
Build relationships and work closely with all departments including operations.
Provide and interpret sales data.
Develop a strategic business plan that captures new business and penetrates existing market share within the company footprint, focusing on division customers with sales potential.
Deliver on case expectations.
Utilizes data sources to analyze and capitalize on sales opportunities.
Other projects or duties as assigned.
