Business Development Manager - Public Sector Outside Sales
A Business Development Manager (BDM) for Connection - Public Sector Solutions (formerly known as GovConnection) works independently to seek out new business opportunities with new or existing customers within the state. They are responsible for strategizing with inside sales account managers to communicate the Connection value proposition to customers in State and Local Governments and Education (K-12 and Higher Education) with ability to present at the Manager/Director level.
Via training or previous work experience, the BDM will gain familiarity with available contract vehicles, and have the ability to present customized web solutions and develop and maintain local manufacturer relationships. This is an outside sales role that requires daily travel mostly by automobile with occasional overnights, airline travel needed on occasion.
