The Business Development Manager is responsible for aggressively growing U.S. sales through our dealer partnerships and direct sales. This role creates long-term value and profits for the organization from customers, markets, and relationships by sourcing, developing and implementing growth opportunities within the organization and its partners.

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Prospect new clients and develop ?blue ocean? business opportunities
  • Meet assigned sales, profit, and market growth objectives through direct key accounts sales and dealer sales
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key decision makers
  • Create strategic and tactical account plans for growing new and existing accounts
  • Forecast salestargets and ensure they are met
  • Develop plans of actions if profitability targets or opportunities are missed * Provide regular, value-added sales solutions i.e. sales consultations, dealer training, customer events, product demonstrations, and technical support resolutions
  • Integrate all weekly sales activities into CRM systems for timely, accurate management reporting RequiredExperience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Adaptive presentation skills for speaking with large or small groups
  • Experienceselling to all levels of decision makers within manufacturing and technical engineering environments
  • Well balanced customer focus, ambition, and drive to get things done
  • Commitment to travel as required to support assigned markets
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and professionalism at all times
  • Working knowledge of SAP, SalesForce.com or similar CRM software Additional Eligibility

Qualifications:

 

  • At least 5years CNC machine tools or technical industrialsales
  • At least 5years of customer development, new account and territory management

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach, consultant, trainer, and mentor for other personnel especially within the assigned dealer network.
