We currently have a Full Time Opportunity for an Business Development Manager – Life Sciences with our direct client located in Princeton, NJ, Locations.

Reports to

 

 Global Head of Sales and Marketing

 

Experience

 

 8-10 years in life sciences sales (understanding of and ability to build, enhance offerings across clinical, regulatory, and safety products and services a plus)

 Prior experience in rapidly growing account revenue and pipeline, handling accounts with annual revenue of $10-15 mn

 Strong relationships with decision-makers in large and mid-sized pharmacos (e.g., Head of Regulatory, Head of R&D), proven track record of ability to elevate relationships to the CxO level

Qualifications

 MBA/MSpreferred

 Graduation in medical related field a plus

 

Roles and responsibilities

 Account planning – Develop granular account plans to achieve annual & longer-term revenue and pipeline targets; clearly outline all milestones, provide timely update on progress across each and frequently update plan in line with change in requirements

 Meet key performance indicators for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives

 Continuously drive up-selling and cross-selling across the clinical, regulatory, and safety verticals, and various Navitas offerings; Leverage all LOBs and internal capabilities effectively, collaborate with the sales team to grow the business

 Develop and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with key decision makers and influencers in the account at all relevant hierarchy levels, by bringing fresh insights and anticipating existing and future needs

 Drive negotiation of deals; apply and flexibly react to negotiating tactics even in tough situations

 Manage relationships and delivery during contracts; engage frequently with senior stakeholders, quickly and competently resolve problems by tackling root causes, and invest in preventing future problems

 Experience in working with global operational teams and the global delivery model across time zones / geographies

 Effectively communicate verbally and through presentations, using all available tools and analysis to give clear and compelling messages

 Manage multiple projects whilst paying attention to detail

 Utilize CRM software and MS Office

 Personal profile must be entrepreneurial, both customer-facing (proactively working with customers on their needs), and internal (picking up and driving to best practices for self and team).
