The Business Development Manager seeks new clients and new opportunities for the agency, represents RED's capabilities and services, and closes new business. The ideal candidate is self-motivated but also team-oriented, thriving to deliver on individual responsibilities that also support the larger goal attainment and growth of the agency. As a natural leader, the BD Manager can build a relationship from scratch with a client, showcase how RED can provide value to a client, and set up the rest of the RED teams for success in working with clients on their business. This role seeks long term, healthy client relationships that are on strategy and align with RED leadership's vision for the agency, in addition to achieving revenue targets. The BD Manager has a passion for the marketing industry, digital in particular.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

· Contribute to revenue attainment

· Prospect and pursue new clients and new deals, including both fielding inbound opportunities and using cold outreach to create new opportunities

· Inform the creation of new and updated Biz Dev materials as needed, such as case studies, work examples, decks, etc

· Contribute to the evaluation of opportunities with internal teams, first gathering all the necessary information for assessment

· Support new business pitches, which will include collaboration with leadership and cross disciplinary roles

· Prepare for client meetings and presentations, including client research, presentation materials and briefing any relevant colleagues in attendance

· Write proposals, craft custom presentation decks for opportunities, and collaborate internally on writing scopes and estimates

· Maintain CRM, our internal platform for tracking opportunities in the pipeline

· Assess local conferences and networks events, and attend as relevant

· Collaborate on award submissions

· Build, maintain and keep in touch with a network of client contacts

· Become an expert in RED's capabilities, case studies and process

THE ESSENTIALS:

· 4+ years of experience in a business development or sales position, or equivalent client-facing role. Experience at a creative or digital agency is preferred.

· Achievement of revenue goals

· Ability to earn client trust and build relationships from scratch

· Organized, diligent, resilient, and solutions-oriented

· Clear, strong communication skills, both written and oral

· Team player
