The Cigna Ventures Analyst position conducts research, analysis, and prospecting in support of Cigna Ventures, Cigna's fully owned Corporate Venture Capital Fund. The analyst will research market strategic focus areas (e.g. digital health or advanced analytics) to identify innovation themes and trends, develop and socialize insights, manage inquiries, and identify and screen potential target companies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Researches strategic focus areas to uncover target companies to potentially partner with and/or invest in that align with Cigna Ventures strategy. - Assists with the market mapping of focus areas - Researches target companies to initially screen for appropriateness;

calculates the approximate market size for target company solutions -

Assesses new opportunities (including product evaluation process, market research plan and forecasting for potential new programs/products) to assist in evaluation of investment opportunities; -

Communicates with entrepThe successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree (MBA or Master’s degree preferred) and a have a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience in the following areas: -

Very strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills; - Strategic agility; - Proven project management and implementation skills; - Proven ability to function in a matrixed environment; -

Ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in with internal partners, VC partners and entrepreneurs; - Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and/or projects using appropriate methodologies and tools; - Excellent oral and written communication skills; - Knowledge of market intelligence best practices and experience leveraging them in dynamic environments with leadership teams; - Proven track record of delivering results of high quality and sustainability - Ability to assess complex issues and dynamic market actions and articulate implications.
