JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Driving Business Growth: This leader will beresponsiblefor:
    • Becoming a sought after technical advisor by AEC professionals
    • Possessing a keen understanding of construction drawings and specifications, building/energy codes and building science
    • Ensuring a presence during the Design Development phases of targeted projects
    • Creating a growing stream of specifications for OC products & systems on targeted projects
    • Identifying and communicating gaps in our portfolio to help drive product & system innovation
    • Integrating efforts with our sales, marketing and sustainability/building-science teams to drive profitable share growth for Owens Corning and our customers
  • Regional Strategy Development:The leader will develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for his/her region. Expectations include: complete an analysis within his/her region to develop Customer Knowledge and accomplish the following:
    • Establish relationships with key influencers within leading AEC firms (primarily architects)
    • Position OC as a trusted advisor who can assist in delivering superior solutions for healthy, energy efficient and sustainable buildings
    • Educate AEC professionals regarding the features and benefits of OC solutions and assist with (basis-of-design) product and systems specifications for commercial building products
    • Collaborate with our sales team, distribution & contractor channels throughout the building process to identify opportunities, hold specifications and close sales
  • Execution & Market Engagement: This leader will beresponsible for achieving goals and targets identified through Regional strategy development. Expectations include:
    • Provide product & system education, including delivering AIA/CES Continuing Education courses
    • Build relationships with the key influencers in region and actively participate within industry associations, such as CSI and AIA
    • Understand strengths, benefits & limitations of OC products & systems
    • Work with decision makers during design and construction document phases to incorporate our building science, sustainability & material science capabilities
  • Implement Strategic Initiatives: This leader will operate with a continued focus on growth and development across thesales, marketing, and building science organizations. Expectations include:
    • Assist the U.S. AEC Team Leader in creating/evolving the organization to meet the needs of our Insulation Systems Business
    • Participate in the organizational strategy development & implementation for the AEC Solutions team

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelordegree in Architecture, Engineering, Science or related discipline, preferably a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer
  • 10 years or more of experience in design, construction and/or technical specification sales for commercial buildings (experience with building enclosure solutions is preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial construction and building science
  • Proven results-driven track record
  • Experience in creating customer value and solutions based on needs assessment
  • Involvement in key design, specification and construction associations such as CSI, AIA and more
  • Leadership experience in coordinating cross functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Strong executive presence
  • Ability to influence AEC professionals and create desire for change
