The Business Development Lead – Cloud Transformation, is a key role within the firm's Cloud Transformation Sales Unit. The position’s primary responsibility is to drive new client acquisitions and create demand for Cloud Transformation opportunities in targeted accounts, leveraging the firms’s portfolio of Cloud Transformation solutions and services.
Responsibilities
Lead sales strategy in strategic enterprise prospects, developing and winning Cloud transformation opportunities that enable customer outcomes.
Lead with Industry or Solution Sales Play to build trusted relationships with technology executives -CIO/CTO and influencing relationships with CEO/CFO, through engagements focused on driving the customer’s desired business outcomes leveraging Cloud technologies
Demonstrate strong personal communication and presentation skills to establish interest, credibility and trust.
Disrupting the mindset of customers by bringing innovative ideas that showcase the firm's unique value proposition
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets leading to business development
Create proactive, stakeholder centric engagement with the targeted prospect accounts
Lead generation, prospecting and other sales goals designed to build optimal sales funnel
Develop strong, long-term relationships and referrals with senior management at the targeted prospect accounts
Gather stakeholder and competitive intelligence in the targeted prospect accounts
Work in close collaboration with various teams to proactively pitch stakeholder-relevant propositions
Support the team’s market research and competitive positioning analysis in partnershipwith presales, marketing and other relevant teams.=
Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years selling public cloud engagements. Experience with selling deals involving AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM and other large Cloud providers
Proven track record in selling successful large journey to cloud programs
10+ years of experience in IT Consulting building strategic business partnerships through selling or consulting with enterprise customers.
Understanding of Cloud Sales and Economics
Strong executive business communication skills across a multitude of business leaders and stakeholders within large, complex organizations.
The role requires someone that is comfortable working across a highly matrixed environment to solve complex business problems.
Ability to understand customer requirements and how they translate into cloud technology (Apps, Infra, Data, Security) is required.
Demonstrate creative and critical thinking, strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive.
Ability to position long term strategic solutions vs. the competition. Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations and has the ability, characteristics, and determination to compete effectively against skilled and diverse competition.
Ability to overcome and work around problems that are inevitable in rapidly growing businesses - positive approach to problem solving, learning, and development of potential
Experience and expertise selling to senior business decision makers by aligning and reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria.
Ability to work in fast-changing environment and manage ambiguity, while solving customer problems through cloud technologies
Demonstrated ability to try new things, must be self-driven and a continuous learner
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. MBA degree preferred.
Cloud Certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP/IBM) and/or business value selling certifications preferred
