Job Title: Business Development Executive (BDE)

Reports To: Vice President of Sales

Position Classification: Exempt, Full-Time

Position Summary: The Business Development Executive is a seasoned member of the sales department responsible for identifying, targeting and acquiring new business through Credit Union client channels. The BDE will create outside sales strategies to achieve organizational objectives and financial goals, acquire and implement new product distribution relationships, and build relationships within the industry that will facilitate opportunities. The BDE will maintain a competitive awareness of marketplace and will increase value of client relationships while prospecting for new business to ensure the movement of prospects into the sales cycle.

Core Responsibilities:

· Prospecting for an identification of qualified prospects to sell our products

· Be able to independently market our products to perspective clients and close successfully

· Show leadership and enthusiastically participate in weekly contact and planned sales meetings

· Increase client base by otherwise help in closing new accounts and/or providing support to sales staff

· Develop and implement necessary procedures to achieve maximum sales and acquisition

· Observe, analyze and report on market trends, client needs and competitor activity

· Provide recommendations for improved channels of delivery and performance taking into account the impact on other departments and clients

· Continued use of CRM tool to create metrics for deepening relationships, organizing business model to capitalize on market opportunities

· Training and Development of current and prospective clients

· Ability to translate product knowledge to customer solutions and quickly build customer rapport and trust

· Keep informed of credit union/auto industry information and directives, participate in regional and National meetings and initiatives

· Other duties as assigned

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

· Proven sales record

· Demonstrated leadership skills in identifying the needs of sales and marketing staff and working as a team member in problem solving

· Substantial experience marketing to credit union industry is required, auto related products is preferable

· Administrative experience and knowledge relevant to credit union industry, particularly related to achieving change and innovation through sales and marketing

· Strong planning and organizational development skills relating to organizational change

· Be self-assured and demonstrate confidence in presentations and training

· Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills along with a professional presence

· Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills

· Have working knowledge of MS office products

Education and Qualifications:

· Four yeardegree or equivalent experience in credit union industry is required

· Attend development training seminars and workshops as needed to maintain current knowledge of best practices

Special Requirements:

· Physical demands include ability to lift up to 10 pounds

· Ability to work on a laptop or personal computer as well as talk on the phone for extended periods of time is required

· Ability to extensively travel by airplane, bus, taxi or other means of transportation, as necessary, particularly related to tradeshows, potential and existing client visits, attendance at trainings and special events, including weekend travel if necessary

· Employee is regularly required to talk or hear

· The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms

· Ability to work full-time hours, generally a minimum of 40 hours per week, for this position

· Ability to work extended and/or flexible hours and weekends as required
