The Role

C Space is seeking a senior Business Development Director to partner with the New York MD to grow the office with a primary focus on NYC Metro area business development. Although we are a global firm with 15+ years’ experience leading our clients to achieve genuinely customer-centric organizations – the newer New York office has retained an entrepreneurial spirit and start-up like culture. We see huge potential in growing what we offer clients by being closer to them – and this role will have the dual responsibility of both building the market (leveraging our fantastic marketing assets from the office HQ in Boston), and selling our services to senior Insights, Innovation and Marketing clients.

What You Will Do

  • Create and cultivate new relationships with senior level prospects who are key influencers, decision makers and/or budget holders
  • Build and nurture new relationships and buying centers within existing client organizations
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of sales growth goals
  • Raise marketplace awareness of C Space’s value proposition and capabilities – working closely with the Marketing Team to develop events and leverage our content
  • Uncover needs, qualify leads and provide benefit based solutions that are compelling, differentiated and justifiable from an investment perspective
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues and the client delivery teams by providing commercial leadership; partner in developing and executing account growth strategies and broaden/deepen relationships within client organizations
  • Manage and grow a multi-million dollar book of business
  • Provide thought leadership within our organization regarding effective selling practices and approaches

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Ideally 5 to 8years of consultative sales experience with a proven track record of driving new business through prospecting and outbound lead generation
  • Experience in the world of branding/marketing – either client or agency side – and can demonstrate an understanding and genuine passion for what we offer
  • You are an exceptional listener and know the right questions to ask
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships
  • Articulate and poised communicator
  • Being a self-starter and highly motivated is baked into your DNA
  • Persuasive writer – with an ability to put together clearly articulated business needs, and a benefit-led solution
  • Proficient in office tools such as ppt, as this remains the primary means of us communicating what we offer to clients, and you will be responsible for creating these custom materials based off templates we will provide
  • Experience developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of services relevant to industry trends and the competition
  • Proven track record achieving and exceeding Sales goals
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong business acumen.
