The Business Continuity Consultant will oversee the daily operation and projects at the client site on behalf of Control Risks. This individual will report to the Control Risks’ Account and Project Manager based in the New York and Washington DC office respectively.Since this position is embedded with Control Risks client, the client will oversee daily supervision and set directionNote: this candidate will be located in the SanFrancisco, CA area –no relocation costs will be covered.
Tasks and Responsibilities?Responsible for maintaining high standards of conduct and integrity to ensure project success and Control Risks’ standing with our client?Must work closely with the Control Risks Project Manager to ensure all project deliverables meet the Control Risks’ standards for quality and fulfil client expectations;?Oversee the implementation of new and on-going projects; which includes managing client expectations and establishing deadlines for deliverables;?Prepare and deliver business continuity deliverables, as directed by the client, including but not limited to, the development of business impact analyses and business continuity plans, as well as the development and facilitation of business continuity tests and training.?Ability to flex and assist with other related initiatives (e.g., crisis management program rollout) as required.?Prepare and deliver Business Continuity Metrics and Project Status to both Control Risks and client management teams (metrics will be delivered on a quarterly basis);?Liaise with other client staff, vendors and consultants as required.?Develop communications (memorandums, emails) for new and on-going projects;?Provide on-going consultation to the client for refining the business continuity program.Knowledge and Experience Essential?Bachelor’s Degree. (A relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience in a similar position or related area may be accepted in lieu of a degree.)A minimum of 3 years of work experience with demonstrated capabilities in designing, building, testing and training on business continuity plans. Preferred?Candidate will ideally have experience in other related disciplines (e.g., crisis management, emergency response, disaster recovery).Qualifications and Specialist Skills ?Professionals with business continuity certifications (or equivalent) are preferred but it is not a requirement for this position.
