Position Overview/Description:

The Ford Smart Mobility architecture organization is looking for an experienced business/data architect to design and implement solutions that support the business goal of aggressively pursuing emerging opportunities in vehicle connectivity, mobility, customer experience and data/analytics, as well as alternative mobility solutions.

You will collaborate with business customers, developers, security specialists and fellow architects to provide global, robust, secure and scalable solutions.

  • Collaborate with business partners and FSM personnel to design and develop solutions
  • Develop business and data models to support design requirements for complex business systems
  • Communicate architecture through key business, data and solution architecture documents
  • Collaborate with solution and technical specialists to provide a secure architecture
  • Guide teams along the way in best practices in design and development.

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working closely with diverse stakeholders, including infrastructure, architects, application development, operations, analysts, project managers, and technical leaders, to understand customers business objectives and system requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate through working teams across multiple departments.
  • 2+ years of experience of modeling experience (e.g. data, process, timing, and business rules) built using the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture.
  • 1+ years of experience with Vehicle Telematics and Product Development concepts and capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate highly technical aspects of architecture and integration in a customer consulting setting to both technical and business audiences in a written and oral manner
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and innovate solutions
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently but still can work within group to deliver top-notch solutions
  • Leadership skills in working with senior-level management and assisting in decision-making
  • Experience architecting and modeling systems in complex heterogeneous environments
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders/customers
