The Health Services and Revenue Management Analytics team's mission is to provide operational and analytical support to our partners promote sustained revenue growth and management, and improve customer value and affordability for Cigna Medicare. We accomplish this through data driven analytics, strategic insights, and cross departmental collaboration with our Cigna matrix partners.
The Business Analytics Advisor will be responsible for providing strategic analytics to business partners in a format that is digestible by non-technical business leaders. This resource will be asked to perform research and analysis of healthcare claims data, clinical outcomes data, and financial data and make recommendations based on relevant findings.
The advisor will be asked to take initiative and proactively identify and investigate complex suspect areas regarding clinical outcomes and utilization issues for our Clinical Care Management team. In addition, this resource will deepen the HSRM team's business analytics capabilities and improve our ability to take on and execute clinical strategy and affordability related projects. Responsibilities
Develop high impact reporting and analytics using SQL, Teradata, and Tableau
Initiate in depth analysis of the clinical suspect/problem areas and work with business partners to present corrective action plan
Provide consultation to health services partners regarding the meaning of data and how to best utilize the information to solve care management business problems
Apply investigative skills and analytical methods to look behind the numbers, assess business impact, and make recommendations through use of healthcare analytics, predictive models, etc
Prepare data and reports for use in health services presentations to providers, and internal business partners
Lead the completion of fast-paced care management projects as requested by internal business partners
Demonstrate healthcare experience in quantifying, measuring and analyzing financial and utilization metrics
Simultaneously manage multiple assignments, working independently and with other teams and analysts
Experience with Clinical Care Management Model and associated clinical data and analytics
3+ years increasingly complex database and data management responsibilities or equivalent combination of experience and education
Advanced SQL database management and query design skills
Experience with Tableau is preferred
Ability to collaborate with all levels (technical analysts, IT, leadership, etc.)
Self-starter with the ability to think critically to solve business problems
Exceptional time management skills
Healthcare experience preferred
