The qualified candidate for this position will lead the team through the requirements gathering process, write detailed business and functional specifications, serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical team members, and prepare and present documentation of business and technical presentations. From time to time, the Business Analyst will lead small projects.


  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, and requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze and transform needs and goals into functional requirements; delivering the appropriate artifacts as needed
  • Work with operational leaders within the business to provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements, cost savings or revenue enhancements
  • Create Business Requirements Documents, Work Flow Diagrams, Matrices, Presentations, and Training Materials, as needed, to effectively communicate the desired functionality
  • Actively participate in all stages of project development including research, design, programming, testing and implementation to ensures the released product meets the intended functional and operational requirements
  • Contributes to project update meetings, and documents project status and issues
  • Actively pursues issue resolution
  • Maintain product backlog; assist product owner with backlog grooming
  • Document user stories and acceptance criteria when appropriate

  • 7+ years experience as a business analyst in a project related/PMO environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business or Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • Healthcareexperiencerequired, Dental experience highly desired
  • Must possess organizational proficiencies to multi-task with multiple initiatives simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision with excellent follow-through on detailed tasks
  • Full project lifecycle experiencerequired
  • Project management experience a plus
  • College degree highly desirable
  • CBAP and/or IIBA certification desirable
  • Agile experience desirable
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint required
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills
