Outreach Information Technology is looking for a Business Analyst who will serve a key role in the process of developing software solutions for our business units by serving as the link between clients and our internal team of analysts and developers. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of new services, and ongoing business process improvement by translating business needs into actionable programming and process steps for developers, practicing the fundamentals of systems analysis, design and testing. May also provide ongoing technical support and train client teams. This position will be responsible for creating end-to-end test plans; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy-and/or external systems, and ensure any potential issues identified are fixed before the product goes live. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in multiple Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Waterfall, Agile). Must be able to identify, communicate, and manage risks associated with projects. Experience working hands on with databases and to write queries. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with business as well as technical staff and critical thinking skills. Candidates should be able to work effectively with business organizations, understanding their needs and showing tact and judgment in developing specialized solutions and analyzing/diagnosing specialized challenges. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
