Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will work closely with the Business Manager to establish, track, report, and forecast all facets of assigned programs.

Major Duties:

  • Track spending, inventory, revenue, fee recognition, and other elements required.
  • Prepare 533M/533Q Government Reporting Requirements, coordinate funding requirements/Codes with Government customer
  • Build FY budgets/Staffing plans and authorize Subcontractor Planning/Funding.
  • Provide recommendations to project Management and Project Leads on cost savings, strategy and process efficiencies.
  • Ensure that the reporting requirements for both internal and external customers are in compliance with company procedures and Federal Regulations such as FAR, DFAR, etc. Complete other requirements such as cost management, budget development and analyses, financial estimating, configuration management and proposal support.
  • Report status of Orders, Sales, Income and Funds Flow with appropriate variance analysis and take appropriate actions to achieve business commitments.
  • Manage cost proposals and support request.

Qualifications

Education:

Requires a B.S. degree, generally in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent field, and five years of professional experience performing business analysis.

Experience required:

5 Years of experience working as a Business Analyst in the Government contracting environment. Experience in forecasting, planning, reporting, customer interfacing, scheduling, and working with spend plans. Candidate will use Teledyne Management systems, Deltek Costpoint, Applix, MPM, and other as required.

Skills required:

Ability to work in a diverse, multi-skilled team of Business professionals. Competencies desired are adaptability, customer focus and ability to multi task and communicate effectively at all levels of the company. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage to schedule and meet deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Project with an emphasis on creating and utilizing Excel macros.
