Title: Business Analyst III
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Duration: 12 Months +
Analyst to provide support for initial business justification of new program proposals and developing operational dashboards
Duties: o Work in operations project team for analyzing data, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and driving system enhancements for Client network operations.
Drive weekly team output while select side project based on interest and business need.
Pull data query from asset management system, HR table, 3rd party vendor database and other data sources and convert into story-telling charts/graphs for root cause analysis or process improvement opportunities.
Able to run SQL queries, data extract and automation opportunities for project team to improve efficiency.
Assist in solution testing, debugging and documentation and system issue support.
Able to build Tableau dashboard and provide business analysis on trend, proposals and insights for output gain and provide information for management for decision making.
Comfortable getting up to speed independently with the diverse data sources used across Client
Ability to run SQL queries to facilitate oversight of business operations
Expert in Tableau (3+ years) including an ability to 'reverse engineer' complex workbooks/data pipelines and take over development
Expert level Microsoft Excel proficiency (Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc)
Can gather data from multiple sources and compile it into an easy to understand insight
Ability to propose and/or develop new reporting based on an in-depth understanding of customer need
Prior experience or exposure to large scale 24x7x365 break-fix operations team
Basic working knowledge of networking: OSI Layers, Switches vs Routers, TCP, BGP, etc
Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain management, business or economics majors.
