POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst provides the ability to identify and outline business needs in concert with core Manufacturing and Procurement team members and then determine approaches to solving the business problems via process, technology and training. These solutions will take the form a combination of approaches from business process improvements, organizational change, strategic planning, software configuration and/or customization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides expert guidance on the configuration and utilization of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) application
  • Provides expert guidance with respect to Procure-to-Pay and Procure-to-Manufacture processes and the additional systems required for a cohesive end-to-end process solution
  • Responsible for understanding the planning through manufacturing business processes and utilizing the JDE software to design a solution to attain the best possible process outcomes
  • Participates in business process mapping and re-engineering activities and serves as functional liaison between the user community and the JD Edwards team
  • Identify and articulate the need for change in how we operate, and facilitate that change striving for continuous improvement
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
  • Conducts meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
  • Performs requirements analysis
  • Documents and communicates the results of your efforts
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Serves as a liaison between stakeholders and users
  • Works closely with various levels of the organization
  • Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
  • Updates, implements and maintains procedures
  • Assist with the creation of Test Scripts and help organize the testing effort with end users
  • Conduct and facilitate user acceptance testing
  • Provides leadership, training, coaching, and guidance as necessary
  • Assist with evaluating the feasibility and cost benefit of proposed solutions
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Manages projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance
  • Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of projects
  • Balances competing resources and priorities
  • Involved in Sox compliance
  • Executes UBE / application parameter definition
  • Drives Master Data Management processes
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
  • Comply with company policies; work rules; safety requirements; quality standards; and applicable local, state, and federal legislation
  • Perform other related duties as needed and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelordegree in Manufacturing Planning and Control, Engineering Technology or other related field, MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Three to five years of related experience in or around manufacturing and planning
  • Three to five years of experience with JDE E1, preferably in version 9.2, in the Manufacturing and Procurement modules
  • Experience with 1 or 2 full life cycle JDE implementations
