The JPMC Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics Team is responsible for driving a best-in-class metrics and analytics capability across the GTI organization. As a Business Analyst on this team, you will use creative problem solving, analytical approaches, statistical models and data visualization tools to identify actionable insight in support of GTI’s operational and strategic objectives. You will help advance the GTI technology data strategy through the formulation and prioritization of BI user personas and use cases. To be effective in this role, you will need to manage multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational units and provide updates on these initiatives to senior stakeholders. Finally, the building of strong relationships across the organization will be another key to success, particularly in engaging a growing metrics community of practice and guiding organization toward standards and consistency.
5+ years of hands-on experience developing analytical solutions in a fast-paced environment (preferably financial services) and/or experience in management consulting with a heavy emphasis on quantitative analysis
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics, Mathematics or similar)
Experience utilizing QlikView, Tableau or similar data visualization tools to design and implement analytics
Proficiency in conducting advanced statistical analyses (e.g. regression, clustering, time series)
Strong data visualization capabilities
Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, charting, macros, calculations)
Understanding of Software Development, Agile, DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering concepts
Familiarity with infrastructure technology a plus, e.g., Server, Storage, Network, Database, Mainframe, Middleware
Ability to seamlessly switch between high level strategic thinking and detailed technical analysis (and knowing when to apply either)
Ability to set goals, prioritize and manage across complex workstreams, and drive progress proactively and independently
Comfort with ambiguity, including the application of skills within new and unfamiliar domains
Strong creative problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including ability to boil down complex/ technical concepts
