What we need:   Cetera Financial Group is currently seeking a Business Analyst for our Investment Solutions Group for our office located in San Diego, CA.  This is a unique opportunity to participate in architecting, developing and managing CFG’s advisory platforms and investment programs. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of tasks, with a special focus on business analytics and investment manager research. This role includes liaising with various internal departments such as Research, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Legal and Compliance, as well as working closely with external vendors and investment managers.  

What you will do: 

  • Participate in the design and development of CFG’s advisory programs and products and contribute to crafting the Investment Solutions Group’s vision and strategy
  • Participate in economic feasibility and profitability analysis of CFG’s advisory programs and products
  • Provide portfolio construction recommendations and conduct investment strategist and manager research and due diligence
  • Liaise with investment strategist and managers on an ongoing basis
  • Develop various business analytic reports to promote informed business decision-making
  • Maintain knowledge and develop an analysis of current and emerging industry and company trends
  • Support Wealth Management Consulting and other business units in their effort to drive adoption of advisory platforms
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify, develop, and implement enhancements to the programs and products
  • Communicate and work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations for delivery of initiatives
  • Work with various internal and external constituencies to ensure timely, accurate and on budget delivery of initiatives 

 

Qualifications

 

What you need to have:

  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university
  • Master’s degree, CFA and/ or other relevant designations; Securities licenses (Series 7, 24, 63/65, 66) also preferred
  • A min of 8 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Personal integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethic
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail a must
