Job Overview:

The Business Analyst position will support the Human Resources and Payroll teams with system setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of the HRIS systems. Will be working with all aspects of the HR/Payroll modules as well as collecting business requirements for enhancements and creating technical specifications for the teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with HR/Payroll software support in the areas of Benefits, Recruitment, Time Entry, and Absence Management; involvement in implementing, configuring and supporting Workday's HCM application; demonstrate the ability to work with users to define business requirements and translate these requirements into meaningful documents; capable of creating user documentation and training end user; and be able to work independently and on a team.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Project management of key initiatives in process/system improvements, upgrades, migrations onto all HR/Payroll/HRIS systems

  • Works as key liaison within the HR organizations, supporting all information technology/HRIS requirements

  • Works with business and Workday teams to define, design, test, implement and support the Workday/Payroll/HRIS module

  • Functional support of Workday HR/Payroll modules and additional systems support (US & Canada Payroll)

  • Creating functional requirements as an input to application design

  • Developing and testing detailed functional designs for business solution components and prototypes

  • Evaluates software and new options to improve performance

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in, systems/Data integration, data analytics, application design, and system architecture

  • Knowledge of one or more HR data/application space (Workday HCM/Payroll, ADP's product)

  • Ability to create and modify Workday integrations

  • Experience with multinational companies a must

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role is required

  • 3-5 years’ Workdayexperience including Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Absence, Performance, Talent, and Advanced Compensation; implementation experience in Performance, Talent and Advanced Compensation modules strongly preferred

  • Strong communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills required

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of documents and information required

  • Needs excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)  

  • Requires excellent analytic skills with a demonstrated understanding of the concepts and issues unique to the management of HR data and processes

  • Strong understanding of benefits, compensation, absence management, performance, talent, compensation and other HR business processes and disciplines.

  • Requires understanding of interfaces with other business systems.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technical skills in data reporting

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences in defining their needs in a collaborative, tactful manner; which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people, and regularly provide advice and recommend actions rather complex issues.
