Job Description

Business Analystresponsible for business requirements elicitation, participation in production support engagement includes conducting joint application development sessions with business and technical staff. Responsible for integration requirements engineering for property and casualty insurance policy, billing, claims, contract management, document production, middleware and document storage systems. Job duties include performing analysis of business and user needs with a strong focus on facilitating and leading QA and user testing. Additional duties include supporting design and development, ensuring test cases are valid and complete, and triage and coordination of defects resolution.



Bachelors Degree in Business or IT and/or equivalent work experience
5 years of software development life cycle experience within Property and Casualty insurance domain with at least 3 years of Test Lead experience, 2 years as claims and integration systems business analyst, 2 years of policy and billing systems business analyst and 2 years of document production lead business analyst.
2 Years of experience working with all modules of Guidewire systems is required
INS21 Property & Casualty Insurance Principles Certification at a minimum
ISTQB Certification (Testing)
Business process/workflow documentation.
Full SDLC experience with Property Casualty insurance systems including Policy, Billing, Claims, contact manangement, Document production, middleware and document storage systems.
Expertise in XMLSpy, SQL, VSTS,/Azure DevOps Notepad++, MS Office, LoadRunner, Ranorex, Jenkins
Strong/clear communication skills. Excellent writing skills, including organization and grammar. Ability to articulate and translate ideas and concepts into solid business requirements
Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving/analytical skills.
Experience with end to end coordination of requirements, development, testing and acceptance of all elicited requirements
5-10% travel may be required


Specialty, commercial and reinsurance experience desired
INS 22, InS 23, CPCU and other P&C insurance industry based certifications
Exposure to MR Essentials methodology
Presentation skills to a large user group
