Select Responsibilities:
- Clearly understands the client’s benefit plan rules and has high-level knowledge of client’s system functionality for areas of plan administration
- Work with Project Manager, Tech Lead, and (if applicable) the Implementation Consultant on development of project plan, scope and identify out of scope items as needed
- Manage, prioritizes, delegates and reviews work for Business Analysts on the team
- Responsible, with the Tech Lead and Project Manager, for managing the consumption of releases, reviewing release notes, resolving issues with releases
- Overall owner of the plan design for the implementation work
- Lead user acceptance training along with the Project Manager, responsible for providing test case criteria and provides input on the agenda
- Peer reviews all client specific system specification documentation and ensures that the documentation is kept up-to-date
- Consult clients on best practices
- Provides leadership to the Business Analysts
- Mentor, train and onboard new Business Analysts
- Works with Project Manager, Tech Lead, and (if applicable) the Implementation Consultant to manage the go-live/OE process
- Coordinate with the Product Team to understand the impact of enhancements to the core product and how and when the core system updates should be implemented
- Communicate back to the Implementation Consulting Team, Product Support Team and Process Governance Leaders on changes or enhancements to standard documentation
- Support Business Analyst team in completing documentation, system set up, test planning, testing and regression testing as necessary to ensure quality on-time work
- Manage large, cross-component and/or global testing processes; oversees the definition of test scenarios and develops comprehensive test plans
- Provides overall guidance during UAT
- Peer reviews all metadata and test plans of other Business Analysts on the project team
- Responsible for understanding, communicating, and coordinating end-to-end system requirements and testing
The Requirements
- 7 or more years’ experience as a Business Analyst in Benefits Administration
- Ability to provide training for client-specific ongoing
- processes to internal team members including client learning, plan design,
- imports, exports, reports, fulfillment, processes and web admin as these
- items pertain to ongoing administration
- MUST know fundamentals of health and
- welfare; broader benefit plan design required
- Ability to complete Willis Towers Watson Business
- Analyst training program
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
- Experience with relational databases including SQL,
- Oracle or Access preferred
- Experience with test plan creation, testing procedures
- and test plan execution
