Responsibilities include the following: Production Development - handle assignment, triage, placement or problem solving on accounts in a timely manner. Assist underwriters in placement of their accounts and help them with workflow, direct placement of accounts/production. Monitor and increase retained revenue on a monthly basis. Identify opportunities for new potential revenue producing programs/classes/procedures etc. working in collaboration corporate leadership. Develop, implement and monitor budgets, underwriting and marketing plans. Monitor reports for personnel, agents and carriers to ensure success for each including file reviews and auditing policies as needed to improve results. Clients - mentor and coach sales team on building relationships with clients, including a focus on providing excellent customer service. Build direct relationships with clients and work to develop their business across all platforms. Coordinate client goals and incentives with production teams and accounting (i.e. incentive plans). Monitor and review sales team’s client MVP (Most Valuable Player) assignments and make changes as necessary. Producer incentive plans should be in writing to corporate staff and monitored on a monthly basis. Increase revenue and diversification of business within each client. Direct Reports and Team Leadership - provide management, leadership, coaching and development to the underwriters/brokers designated. Training and recommended courses to develop their marketing, production, and underwriting functions. Perform evaluations of the team annually with quarterly reviews/checkpoints at a minimum. Monitor underwriter/brokers budgets and goals at least monthly. Ensure team is following general guidelines outlined in the handbook. Recruiting, interviewing and developing of new associates in conjunction with Corporate HR and Development Teams. Carriers - ensure the team is adhering to the guidelines of each carrier. Adhere to and monitor targeted production and loss ratios by carrier to build a profitable book of business. Promote the growth and development of focus carrier partners and new markets. Create strong relationships with the underwriting staff at the carriers and company’s teams. Check and audit policies as needed to improve branch results. Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by management.
Must hold a current New York P&C License. Possess strong technical insurance and computer skills including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, etc.
