WSP is currently initiating a search for a Bridge Inspector for our Albuquerque, New Mexico office work on various projects including the NMDOT On-Call Augmentation contract. Areas of focus will include inspection, documentation, data input, administration, projectmanagement, business development, and client relations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Manage highway and bridge inspection projects as per client contract documents, plans and specifications

•Interact with clients to develop new or grow existing business opportunities

•Be responsible for directing, monitoring, assigning, and evaluating the work of a project or program staff, and capable of effecting design or program changes to accommodate field or program conditions.

•Be capable of analyzing consultant value engineering and cost reduction proposals for feasibility of implementation.

•Be able to review and resolve project problems and contractual requirements with supervisor, designers, consultants, and personnel from other government agencies.

•Approve and certify all project/program documentation and submittals requiring certification or approval.

•Verify compliance Federal and State provisions (e.g., Buy America, DBE, EEO, etc.) on highway and bridge construction projects.

•Monitor and/or assure that assigned project(s)/Program(s) are implemented in compliance with WSP procedures, client contractdocuments, client specifications,environmental requirements and the applicable Federal, State, and Client policies, procedures and rules.

•The Bridge Inspector shall be Site Manager literate, be able to establish computerized project data files, generate computerized change order lists; item list, audits lists, and refines project computer forms and programs.

•The Bridge Inspector's duties shall be inclusive of, but will not be limited to the above.

Job Requirements

Experience Qualifications:

•Minimum of 12 years experience with applicable type of construction (roadway, bridge, airports, buildings, etc.)

•NICET Level III or IV Bridge Safety Inspector Certification

•Client-facing experience, including business development and client relations

•Experience with NMDOT and other government/transportation agencies in New Mexico

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor's Degree

•Professional Engineering license in the State of New Mexico
