We are seeking an energetic and talented individual to join our Marketing team who will enhance our brand presence while building strong relationships across multiple departments including product management, category management, consumer insights, sales, graphic design team, purchasing, legal, outside vendors, etc. The primary role is to plan and manage programs designed to create awareness and purchase intent for the DAP brand and its key products for both our PRO and DIY audiences. This position is also responsible for DAP’s trade show presence and the flow of projects within the team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communications Planning & Execution – 30%

Lead development and execution of DAP’s marketing and outreach strategies for new product commercialization, in particular as they relate to messaging, packaging graphics, marketing literature, application photography, and video production management, etc in alignment with US marketing plans while guiding and coordinating with other regional efforts as outlined by the business.

  • Trade Show and Sales Meeting Management – 30%

Lead company trade show presence with internal teams and external vendors including identifying key trade shows for participation, product focus and booth design, as well details like space reservation and on-site event management; also assist with sales meeting demo room and marketing vision including, but not limited to execution of theme, room layout, vendor selection, on-site event management .

  • Project Management - 25%

Role acts as liaison lead between Product/Sales teams and internal Graphics team with a focus and improving communication flow/process improvement as well as trafficking of projects and artwork via inMotion project management system and proprietary Artflow packaging management process for packaging design; supervises approval for marketing literature and campaigns with legal and compliance personnel, ensure consistency of design, messaging and that materials meet the company brand voice and regulatory guidelines; lead specialized projects as needs develop whether for process improvement or new regulatory mandates.

  • Reporting and Administrative Duties – 15%
  • Ability to manage and track budgets, making adjustments to plans as needed; create PO’s, approve invoices
  • Ability to manage, track projects and generate reports for projects flowing through team
  • Identify and manage external vendor pool for best quality and price

Specific Training or degreerequired:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Marketing, Business, Management or Communications
  • Experience: 2-5 plus years of brand management or marketing experience
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), desirable
  • Consumer Packaged Goods and/or Hardware & Home Improvement industry experience;
  • Ability to develop and structure communication plan & tactics that resonates with both Pro and DIY target audiences
  • Strong MS Office Suite Skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Desired Skills and Attributes Required for this Position:

  • First-hand experience in brand or product marketing, in particular strategic planning, brand building, eventexperience
  • Experience with messaging and communicating to both PROFESSIONAL & DIY audiences
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with ability to lead, motivate and execute multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Goal & objective oriented, strong drive for results and following through on commitments; flexible and versatile to effectively handle change and continue to adjust accordingly in order to see projects through to completion;
