Currently seeking a strategic Brand & Event Director, for a great opportunity in the New York, NY area. The ideal candidate will possess 5 years' experience in special event, trade show or conference planning and production and leadership of a team. Great salary package and flexibility.

Responsibilities of the strategic Brand & Event Director

Determine and execute event strategy in partnership and with direct/indirect oversight of Operations, Marketing, Sales and other internal teams.

Partner with sales team on floor plan development, sponsorship opportunities, goal setting, pricing, and participate and attend client facing meetings where needed.

Develop and maintain relationships with key associations, key customers and audience members to ensure vital understanding of industry needs and objectives.

Responsible for collecting key audience insight to feed into live event planning.

Responsible for maintaining existing association partnerships and developing new partnerships.

Responsible for revenue and expenses; ensure they are aligned with overall budget goals.

Manage cost trackers and have a strong handle on monthly and annual business performance

Together with finance business partner, provide accurate and timely reporting of key eventstatistics and KPIs both leading up to the event and post-show.

Keep a pulse on how they compare to their competitors and how they are trending in the market.

Provide market, competitor, product & audience intelligence on this industry segment.

Partner with the Marketing team to develop a strategic marketing plan to identify schedules, audience segmentation, engagement opportunities, overall branding and positioning and define the value proposition.

Work closely with the Event Operations team that supports their live events to ensure a strong onsite experience with operational efficiencies.

Requirements of the Brand & Event Director

Minimum of 5 years' experience in special event, trade show or conference planning and production

Strong people management experience, ideally 3+ years of team management and leadership

Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce

Data driven with strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to drive business

Strong customer / market focus. Ability to manage and supervise multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to think strategically and suggest creative solutions

Strong relationship builder and collaborator able to work in a matrixed environment and can constructively and confidently push ideas forward

Strong leader that is willing to roll up sleeves to accomplish objectives

Background in or knowledge of similar industries to Sustainability, Construction/Real Estate/Architecture/Design/Facility/Property/manufacturing - any industry connected with sustainability communities is strongly preferred, however all industries considered including b2b and b2c

Willingness to travel up to 25%
